# Publicis Just Beat the Market for the Eighth Year Running, and It's Betting the Streak Keeps Running on AI

> Organic growth came in ahead of consensus, net new business topped $2 billion, and Publicis walked away from the PepsiCo media review with the account. The quarter is another data point for a simple claim the holding company keeps making louder: clients are paying up for AI, not just asking about it.

Publicis Groupe closed the third quarter the way it's closed most of the last two years, ahead of where analysts expected it to land. Organic revenue grew 5 percent in the quarter, beating the company-provided consensus of 4.8 percent, while net revenue rose 7.9 percent to 3.81 billion euros, or roughly 4.26 billion dollars. The holding company reaffirmed its full-year guidance of 4.5 to 5 percent organic net revenue growth, an annual operating margin slightly above last year's 18.2 percent, and free cash flow of about 2.2 billion euros.

## Where the growth is actually coming from

Publicis has spent the last several quarters pointing to a specific driver behind its numbers: client demand for AI-powered marketing products and services. This quarter, that showed up concretely inside two of the company's capability groups. Connected Media, the media-buying and performance side of the business, grew high single digits, while Intelligent Creativity, the AI-assisted content and creative arm, grew in the single digits. Those aren't explosive numbers on their own, but they're the two units Publicis has built its AI narrative around, and both grew.

## The PepsiCo win is the headline new-business number

Net new business, contract wins minus losses, reached 2.2 billion dollars for the quarter. The standout name in that total is PepsiCo, whose media account Publicis picked up in a widely watched review. The company said the PepsiCo win alone secures roughly 2 percentage points of growth heading into next year, which matters more than the headline dollar figure because it's growth that's already locked in before the next fiscal year even starts.

## An eighth straight year of beating the market

The quarter extends what Publicis is now treating as its core credibility claim: an eighth consecutive year of growing faster than the broader advertising and marketing services market. For a holding company competing against WPP, Omnicom and smaller independents in the same AI-powered-everything pitch, a multi-year outperformance streak is a harder thing to argue with than any single quarter's AI messaging, and Publicis is clearly aware of that, which is why the streak gets mentioned alongside the AI framing rather than instead of it.

## What analysts are actually crediting

Sell-side reaction leaned positive without being euphoric. Berenberg kept its buy rating on Publicis stock after what it called a small beat in Q3 organic growth, language that reads as confirmation rather than surprise, the kind of response a company gets when it has already reset expectations upward over several quarters rather than delivered a single shock beat.

## The open question underneath the good numbers

The harder thing to measure from outside the company is how much of this growth is genuinely new AI-driven spend from clients versus existing media and creative budgets simply getting relabeled under an AI-powered banner because that's the framing clients and agencies are both incentivized to use right now. Publicis's own numbers don't settle that question, they just show the growth is real and ahead of consensus. Whether it holds up as something structurally different from past growth cycles, or turns out to be ordinary account wins wearing an AI label, is the thing the next few quarters will actually have to prove.
